Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Restaurant Cook to assist in preparing menu items according to recipes in a timely manner while maintaining high food safety standards.

You will work with health-minded teammates in a fast-paced environment, delivering quality meals for our members. Responsibilities include stocking supplies, keeping the Bistro and LifeCafe clean, managing food flow with stations, and following recipes for consistency, freshness, and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to stand and move about the cafe for extended periods.
• ServSafe certification required within the first 90 days of hire.
• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to daily needs for the Bistro, including stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring kitchen safety.
• Maintains LifeCafe and kitchen cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning equipment, and washing dishes.
• Manages the flow of food production with the sandwich and salad stations.
• Follows recipes to ensure consistency, freshness, and quality of ingredients while preparing food.

• Adheres to the daily needs for the Bistro, including, but not limited to, stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety of kitchen
• Maintains LifeCafe and kitchen cleanliness, including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, cleaning kitchen equipment, and washing dishes
• Manages the flow of food production in conjunction with the sandwich and salad stations
• Follows recipes to ensure consistency, freshness, and quality of ingredients while preparing food

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time
• ServSafe certification required within the first 90 days of hire
• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in restaurant with fast casual or full service experience
