Milwaukee Childcare Center of the A in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to join our team. You will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment, plan lessons, and lead activities that support young children's growth.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Early Childhood Education and experience in licensed settings, demonstrates strong communication and leadership, and is committed to safety and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or early education setting.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early childhood development.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Lead and supervise classroom activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment.
• Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress and milestones.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's growth and classroom updates.
• Mentor and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare center policies.
