Job summary

Aeva, Inc. in Mountain View, CA is seeking a versatile engineer to bridge hardware, customer integration (FAE), and perception teams.

You will own the full lifecycle of our sensor data in the field, characterizing performance and supporting deployments while building production‑grade Python and C++ data pipelines to ingest, validate, and label data for our perception models. You will calibrate, debug, and maintain data pipelines, working with vendors to package data for delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of industry experience blending software development (Python and C++) with hardware/systems engineering (2+ years with a Master’s).
• Hands-on experience with LiDAR, radar, or camera systems, including hardware troubleshooting and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Characterize sensor performance and support customer deployments.
• Develop Python and C++ data pipelines to ingest and validate sensor data.
• Calibrate sensors and debug hardware/software integration issues.
• Build/maintain ETL pipelines moving high-volume sensor data to internal storage.
• Collaborate with operations and customer teams to plan data collection runs.
