Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of Vermillion in Yankton, SD, seeks a Licensing Program Coordinator to lead the Academy (JK-5) programs, ensuring licensing compliance, staff supervision, and budget management in a safe, engaging environment.

The role focuses on program quality, family engagement, and developmentally appropriate activities to support youth outcomes aligned with BGCA priorities. Strong licensing knowledge and leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Meet ONE of the listed qualifications per SD DSS licensing: degrees, credentials, or extensive experience.
• Experience with youth ages birth through 5th grade and supervisory roles are required.
• Experience with state childcare licensing is a plus and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of licensed Club programs to ensure safety and highquality programming.
• Ensure developmentally appropriate activities that support positive youth outcomes.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff.
• Provide coaching and feedback to staff to support professional growth.
• Coordinate licensing documentation, inspections, and compliance reporting.
• Communicate with families through phone, email, and in-person meetings.
