Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an LCB Licensing Technician 1 in the Bureau of Licensing to support license and permit processing and respond to customer inquiries. This role helps businesses navigate PLCB licensing rules to ensure compliance and timely approvals.

You will assist with application processing, document analysis, renewals, and data entry while adhering to statutes, policies, and procedures. Telework may be available, with standard hours 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, Mon–Fri.

Qualifications

• Three years of clerical experience supporting a legal, licensing, or regulatory program.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone and email inquiries from applicants and other stakeholders regarding license application processes, problem resolution, and status updates.
• Examine and evaluate applications, supporting documentation, and fees to determine acceptability and eligibility for licenses and permits.
• Evaluate relevant files for complaints, convictions, suspensions, appeals, and other factors affecting eligibility.
• Issue approval and authority to operate when applicants meet requirements.
• Summarize application discrepancies, prepare correspondence, and request higher review or investigations when necessary.
• Data entry: ensure all application and case details are documented and up to date.
