Job summary

Medallion is seeking a Licensing Specialist Contractor to manage a queue of licensing requests, track progress, coordinate required documentation, and support SLAs. You will perform QC of applications and PSVs and communicate with providers to resolve items.

This is a Full Time (40 hours/week), 3-6 month contract conducted in a remote setting with core hours 8-5. Location is US-based; compensation ranges $18–$25 per hour depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with licensing in Behavioral Health, Nursing, and Physician license types; multi-state experience preferred (IMLC, NLC a plus)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving for complex licensing requirements
• Excellent communication and customer service; able to articulate next steps clearly

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain assigned licensing queue to ensure completeness and accuracy per state requirements
• QC license applications and primary source verifications (PSVs) for accuracy and completeness; submit applications and PSVs
• Initiate and manage primary source verifications (education, training, employment, licenses)
• Monitor for deficiencies and coordinate with boards as needed
• Communicate requirements and status updates clearly with providers and clients
• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to facilitate licensure
• Provide license status updates to clients
• Manage mailing processes and ensure timely submission of materials
• Monitor files to ensure timely completion of requirements
• Assist with time-sensitive updates and changes
• Participate in meetings and special projects
