About the role

The Licensing Specialist is responsible for coordinating the licensing program for Equip clinicians (i.e. MD, NP, RD, PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC). With an eye for organization and detail, the Licensing Specialist will support managers to obtain application information, follow through with submissions and status monitoring, and maintain a comprehensive database to track renewals across all license types.

The Licensing Specialist will have experience in healthcare licensing, maintaining database systems, and have a passion for service-oriented work. Above all, the Licensing Specialist is motivated by the ultimate goal of expanding access to high quality, evidence-based treatments for eating disorders so that everyone can achieve lasting recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Support clinical operations and various internal departments to obtain current information for licensure applications for Equip clinicians.

  • Track licensing statuses and communicate risks as well as solutions to all impacted stakeholders.

  • Assist with license renewals, including DEA, state and compact renewals.

  • Assist with federal and state healthcare program applications in line with Equip’s expansion strategy.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency on the team.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years healthcare administration experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic or ambulatory services setting.

  • Ability to manage the licensing status of numerous providers across multiple states and disciplines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to consistently follow processes.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven track record of meeting assigned deadlines and goals.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to think critically to quickly and accurately work through challenges in a fast-paced, fluid environment.

Physical Demands

Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
