Position Summary:

As a Licensing Specialist I, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to ensure compliance with licensing regulations and state examinations. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team in this pivotal role. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with internal teams, engaging with government agencies, and overseeing the licensing process from initiation to completion. This position demands a self-disciplined approach, the ability to work independently, and a knack for effective teamwork. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review and analyze annual reports, license renewals, and other requirements to ensure accuracy and strict compliance with state regulations.
  • Timely address all deficiencies or inquiries from state examiners and regulators by effectively managing your email and all forms of communication.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams on all levels.
  • Maintain comprehensive records to track all licensing due dates, applications, change notifications, approvals, and other requirements via CSC Licensing Pro software.
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent organization skills to manage large volumes of documents and records.
  • The ability to handle company information with sensitivity and safeguards to ensure confidentiality.
  • Learn multiple roles within the team and provide support with state examinations, as needed.
  • All other duties assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing the licensing process in multiple state/city jurisdictions, including researching legal requirements, preparing and submitting applications.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Skills Required:

  • Proven ability to effectively interact with regulatory authorities, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Expertise in managing multiple licensing projects concurrently with a focus on timely completion.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NMLS registration processes and state licensing requirements, including managing license renewals for various entities and managers within NMLS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task while managing projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Knowledge of consumer finance laws, including motor vehicle retail installment sale transactions preferred.

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 0-10% of the time.
