Job summary

The State of Washington Department of Licensing in Centralia is seeking a Licensing Services Representative with strong customer service to join our Centralia team. The role requires in-person attendance Tue-Saturday and rotating coverage at Morton, and involves issuing driver licenses, enhanced licenses, and ID cards while upholding our values of respect and inclusion.

You will complete training, process licensing applications, verify documents, collect fees, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship.
Valid WA driver license with five years of licensed driving experience.
Two years of direct customer service work experience.
One year of experience using electronic systems and form templates.
Typing speed of 30 wpm or greater.
Commitment to respect, trust, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Verify authenticity of documents and decide licensing eligibility in compliance with laws.
Perform final review of EDL/EID applications and determine applicant eligibility.
Collect DOL licensing fees.
Approve or deny enhanced applications and issue EDL/EID to eligible applicants.
Assess customer qualifications for licensing issuance using sound judgement.
Travel to other offices and attend required trainings.
Conduct driving skills tests during client vehicle inspections.
