The role includes processing licenses, collecting fees, maintaining records, and providing customer service to business owners and the public while using GIS and databases to verify data.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's Degree or high school diploma with 3 years clerical/government licensing experience.
• Prior law enforcement experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of businesses, sites, festivals and events for proper licensure and taxation.
• Prepare renewal and delinquent notices; classify businesses by NAICS; maintain communications records.
• Receive payments for licenses and fees; balance cash; record transactions in the database.
• Provide customer service; respond to routine questions; assist with license processing and documentation.
• Enter and maintain information in department databases; organize files and records.
• Attend meetings/trainings as required.
