Qualifications

  • Technology commercialization experience with proven evidence of leading licensing deals.
  • Demonstrated financial management and software skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of University-owned inventions and support IP development, protection, marketing and licensing.
  • Identify commercial applications and potential partners for university inventions.
  • Market inventions through multiple channels to prospects capable of commercializing.
  • Negotiate and complete non-complex licenses and related agreements; oversee internal diligence prior to signing.
  • Coordinate with USC Stevens staff, researchers, partners, law firms, and others; track activities and keep data up to date.
  • Contribute to process improvements to deliver high-quality service to inventors and partners.
