Qualifications

• Experience in academic research commercialization, a startup, venture fund, or relevant industry setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to interact across academic and corporate cultures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with U-M Innovation Partnerships and WAVE Ventures to facilitate new company creation and licensing.
• Negotiate licenses, options, NDAs, and other partnerships; assist with marketing and licensing strategies.
• Counsel researchers on value propositions and technology development strategies; oversee IP strategy and patent filings as needed.
• Engage with investors and stakeholders to accelerate market entry for new ventures.
