Job summary

Simple Modern is seeking a Licensing Intern to gain hands-on experience in IP partnerships and licensing collaborations. You will work with Creative, Manufacturing, Finance, E-commerce, and Retail teams across the full product lifecycle—from market research to concept to approvals to market launch.

You’ll help analyze sales performance, prepare insights for existing properties, and build a portfolio of potential licenses, while collaborating on go-to-market initiatives with cross-functional

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communicator in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Curious, entrepreneurial mindset with interest in licensing, retail, or consumer products.
• Internship runs late May through early August.
• Position is designed around real-world projects with tangible outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Submit product, packaging, and marketing materials for licensor approval.
• Help maintain a centralized system for all approval documents and creative assets.
• Support the Fan Shop lead with 2028 merchandising assortment and retail program execution.
• Coordinate with the Manufacturing team to track product samples and document progress.
• Assist in ensuring product and packaging compliance with brand guidelines.
• Analyze current sales performance of licensed products and prepare insights.
