  • Supervise evaluation of initial complaints and determine jurisdiction.
  • Conduct legal research; draft motions, memoranda, and pleadings; negotiate settlements.
  • Oversee investigations of complaints; interview witnesses; train staff.
  • Prepare cases for administrative hearings; prosecute disciplinary cases.
  • Monitor trends; review proposed legislation; advise on licensure changes.
  • Interpret statutes and provide legal analysis; respond to inquiries from public and professionals.
