Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center seeks a Licensing Specialist to support the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services in Region II, conducting inspections and providing regulatory guidance to ensure compliant care providers.

The role involves reviewing complaints, issuing licensing actions, and working with providers to implement corrective actions. Travel is required; telework is approved 100% with occasional onsite meetings in Richmond, VA.

Qualificações

• Understanding of clinical assessments and how they tie to service plan development and implementation.
• Experience with individuals with substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities.
• Administrative, management and/or quality assurance experience with public and private service delivery systems.
• Experience interpreting regulations and policies; ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Provide regulatory technical assistance to providers to ensure compliance with licensing rules.
• Conduct inspections and investigations of licensed developmental disability, mental health and substance use disorder providers.
• Review complaints and reports of serious incidents and issue licensing actions as warranted.
• Travel as needed; field position with onsite meetings at DBHDS Central Office in Richmond, VA.
