Job summary

State of Tennessee is seeking a Licensing Consultant I-like role in Shelby County to evaluate and monitor child/adult care facilities for licensure compliance and quality improvements. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and one year of related professional experience in care programs or education, with substitution options described.

A criminal history review and other background checks are required as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of full-time professional experience in child/adult care program evaluation or administration, care of children/adults, professional education, professional human or social services, or para-professional experience assisting teachers or in child/adult care at a facility licensed or certified by a local, state, or federal government.

Responsibilities

• Conducts monitoring visits to providers to support compliance with rules and monitor quality and documents findings.
• Identifies programs needing improvements and assists in developing an improvement plan and communicates recommendations.
• Utilizes internal monitoring and quality assessment tools to document necessary program features for reporting needs.
