Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and two years of secretarial or clerical work experience.
• College education may substitute 30 semester hours or 45-quarter hours for each year of required clerical work experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
• Foreign degrees require credential evaluation for US equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Administers application intake for license applicants under Chapter 493 and for concealed weapon license applications under Section 790.06 FS.
• Maintains appointment calendar, verifies completion of applications, notarizes, administers oaths, fingerprints, photographs, and processes payments.
• Issues and prints renewal licenses.
• Performs data entry in the EDMS to maintain records and statistics.
• Responds to inquiries regarding eligibility requirements and applicable statutes; interprets policies and Florida Statutes.
• Assists hearing officers in informal hearings and administers oaths to witnesses.
• Performs other related duties as required.
