Job summary

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) seeks an experienced Attorney 2, Non-Supervisory to provide legal support within the Office of Chief Counsel. Responsibilities include reviewing cases, drafting opinions, and advising leadership on licensing and noise exemption issues.

Candidates must have a law degree and be admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, with strong analytical and writing skills. Telework possibilities exist; standard hours are 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

Two years of professional legal experience and graduation from an accredited school of law.

Responsibilities

Review subpoenas, continuance requests, and opinions for legal sufficiency and compliance.
Draft Board Opinions and recommendations for licensing and noise exemption matters.
Compile records, exhibits, letters, and attachments for appeals, hearings, and municipal communications.
Provide legal guidance to Chief Counsel and leadership on licensing cases, petitions, protests, and regulatory interpretations.
Research legal issues, develop new arguments when precedent is lacking, respond to questions about the Liquor Code.
Represent the Board at noise exemption hearings and review related reports and petitions
