RK&K in Fairfax, VA seeks a Licensed Project Engineer to join the Water Resources Division. You will support stormwater management and drainage design for transportation projects, planning and implementing drainage systems, and performing hydraulic modeling using industry software.

Essential duties include designing drainage, erosion control, preparing reports and cost estimates, and field data collection.

Qualifikationen

• Four years of experience as a Civil Engineer supporting transportation projects.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Advanced knowledge of drainage design, H&H modeling and stormwater management.
• Proficient with industry software listed in tools.

Aufgaben

• Develop drainage strategies for transportation projects with regulatory compliance.
• Conduct drainage design, analyze existing systems, and create plans for new systems.
• Design erosion and sediment control measures and create associated plans.
• Use HEC-RAS to model major bridge and culvert crossings.
• Use InletSoft, Pipesoft, CulvertSoft to design inlets and networks.
• Prepare technical reports, designs, and cost estimates for drainage projects.
• Produce permit sketches, construction documents and specifications.
• Perform field investigations, collect data, and verify surveys.
