Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a licensed Wastewater Operator with 3+ years of experience to support the operations and maintenance in and around Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

You will perform testing, sampling and routine lab work, conduct rounds, monitor conditions, adjust equipment, and prepare monthly reports while ensuring CT DEEP compliance. A CT Class II license is required; Class III preferred or obtainable within one year; a high school diploma and valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of wastewater operations experience required.
• Valid CT Class II Wastewater Operator License required.
• CT Class III license preferred or obtainable within 1 year.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend multiple wastewater systems, perform testing, sampling and standard operation procedures per CT DEEP regulations.
• Conduct daily rounds and visual inspections of plant equipment; monitor operating conditions and calibrate meters.
• Adjust wastewater treatment equipment (valves, pumps, blowers, dewatering equipment) and perform routine maintenance.
• Prepare monthly reports for water systems and interface with clients.
