Job summary

Paris Regional in Paris, Texas, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) New Graduate. You will provide patient care, document care, and collaborate with RNs to implement plans of care, supporting communities’ health with cutting-edge technology.

You’ll contribute to assessments, wound care, medication administration when appropriate, and support daily living activities, while engaging in ongoing professional development and education within a patient‑centered care

Qualifications

• Current state LVN license.
• Associates degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients by collecting data for RN analysis.
• Performs plan of care interventions including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN/physician/family.
• Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state LVN license and possess a associatesdegree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
