Job summary

Paris Regional in Paris, Texas, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Rehabilitation to join our compassionate team. You will provide direct patient care, support plan-of-care development, and collaborate with RNs and physicians to promote healing and well-being.

Qualifications

• Current LVN license in Texas or state of practice.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of LVN experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients by collecting data for RN analysis.
• Perform plan of care interventions including wound care; may administer medication.
• Document patient care provided.
• Assist RN with development of plan of care.
• Assist patients with daily living activities.
• Monitor and communicate patient status with RN and physician.
• Advocate for patient wellbeing.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality care and maintain attendance.

How you'll contribute

Essential Functions

• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state LVN license and possess a associatesdegree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
