Job summary

Bakersfield Post Acute is seeking compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) for all shifts to provide direct nursing care to residents, supervise CNAs, and maintain high standards of resident safety.

The LVN will ensure care is delivered per federal and state regulations, document physician orders, manage medications, conduct rounds, and participate in quality assurance and discharge planning, fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LVN program.
• Current, active CA LVN license.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily functions of CNAs and ensure policy compliance.
• Document and report shift activities and incident dashboards.
• Administer medications as ordered and verify resident identity.
• Maintain nursing records, admit/discharge documentation, and physician orders.
• Supervise nursing staff and participate in staff development and training.
