Job summary

Valley View Care Center in Delano, CA is seeking licensed LVNs to join our family-owned long-term care team. You must hold an active CA LVN license, maintain CPR or be willing to obtain it, and be prepared to work PRN shifts (AM, PM, NOC).

We value compassionate patient care and ongoing learning. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments per policy, coordinating with physicians, and educating residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring in appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates ability to administer medications timely and per facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to administer treatments timely and per facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Our family owned and operated long term, 53 bed facility is searching for LVNs to join our fantastic team! The leaders at Valley View Care Center hope to attract the best team members to care for our beloved residents. The ideal candidate must be licensed in the State or California as a LVN, current on CPR certification or willing to gain certification prior to hire, open to new experiences and acquiring innovative skill sets, and have a passion to care for those we have been entrusted to steward. Valley View Care Center has excellent survey outcomes and a solid clinical management team who welcome new graduates or experienced nurses to their fold with open arms.

Pay ranges from $29 to $35 based on experience

PRN, AM 6-2:30, PM 2-10:30, NOC 10p-6:30a

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities
