Sweetwater Care in Visalia, CA is seeking licensed LVNs for day, evening, and night shifts at our 99-bed skilled nursing facility. NEW GRADUATES WELCOME! Competitive pay $35–$39/hour based on experience, with shifts 6:30am–3:00pm, 2:30pm–11:00pm, and 10:30pm–7:00am.

Provides nursing care within scope, administers medications and treatments per policy, participates in quality improvement, educates families, and collaborates with physicians. California LVN license required.

• Administers medications timely per facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely per policy.
• Receives, transcribes and carries out physician orders per Nurse Practice Act.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.

• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.

• Utilizes the Policies and Procedures appropriately

• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.

• Conducts family and patient education.

• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.

• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.

• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act

• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
