Barker Animal Hospital in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. The role supports outpatient care and procedural services, including anesthesia for surgeries and a high-volume dental program.

This Fear Free, four-doctor practice values teamwork and client education. You will split time between exam rooms, surgical caseload, and in-house diagnostics, contributing to consistent, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Active, good-standing Virginia LVT license required.

Responsibilities

• Split time between exam room, outpatient, and surgical caseload.
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery for soft tissue surgeries.
• Assist in surgery and support a high-volume dental program including full-mouth radiographs.
• Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration.
• Run in-house diagnostics and maintain medical records.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
