Job summary
Barker Animal Hospital in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to support outpatient care and surgical procedures, including dentistry and high-volume dentistry. Qualifications
- 1+ years veterinary technician experience or training considered
Responsibilities
- Split time between exam room, outpatient, and surgical caseload support
- Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery for soft tissue surgeries and dentistry
- Assist in surgery and support a high-volume dental program with digital radiographs
- Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Explain treatment plans and discharge instructions to clients
- Educate and build strong client relationships
