Job summary

Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our Surgery team in Lynnwood, WA. This full-time position supports veterinarians, assists with surgeries, and maintains thorough patient records to ensure top-quality care.

We are a collaborative, 24-hour hospital offering Emergency, Critical Care, and specialty services. Prior surgical and anesthesia experience, and a valid LVT license, are required; 1–2 years of clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician is required (LVT/RVT/CVT).
• 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Must have surgical and anesthesia experience.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Acts for credentialed technicians.
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems support.
• Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $27-38/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
