Job summary

Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine team. This full-time role (Mon-Thu, 8a-6:30p) emphasizes patient care, client education, and collaboration with veterinarians and the medical team to support specialty medicine.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) required or pending licensure.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience highly preferred—internal medicine experience is a bonus.
  • Must have anesthesia experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems support.
  • Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Mentor and support fellow team members.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $27-38/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
