Job summary

Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Emergency team in Snohomish, WA. This full-time role follows a day shift pattern, with Sunday to Tuesday 7a-8p and flexible 4-10 hour shifts.

You will work alongside a diverse team to deliver high-quality emergency care across multiple species, with opportunities for growth and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) in WA state, or pending licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of continuous veterinary technician/assistant experience.
• Desire to provide empathetic, gold-standard medicine for patients.
• Team oriented with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and guide clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures and maintain patient flow.
• Educate clients and discuss Thrive Membership options and treatments.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems.
• Gather health history and manage medical charts.
• Ensure safe restraining and sterile treatment areas.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.

We are searching for a dynamic Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Emergency team!

Role Responsibilities:

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) in WA state-or pending licensure
• 2 years of continuous veterinary technician/assistant experience (direct animal/patient care required)
• Desire to practice empathetic, gold standard medicine benefiting our patients
• Team oriented with an ability to collaborate and support each other
• Are paw-sitive, kind and provide trustworthy communication to the patients, team members and clients.
• Have the desire to constantly grow and advance as a veterinary technician!

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at$28-36/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

A generous hourly shift differential (between $1 and $4 per hour).
