Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (Dentistry) to join our Short Pump, VA clinic on a part-time schedule. The role requires a credentialed CVT/LVT/RVT and offers hands-on dentistry procedures, anesthesia management, and advanced nursing in a fast-paced environment.

You will support veterinarians in complex dental cases, perform radiographs, monitor anesthesia, and contribute to high-quality patient care while pursuing professional growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) required.
• Experience with anesthesia management and surgical nursing preferred.
• Strong technical and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Credentialed veterinary technician with skills including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, premedication, anesthesia induction & monitoring, and perioperative care.
• Adapt to different patient needs and remain composed in stressful situations.
• Pursue ongoing learning and growth within the veterinary field.
• Assist veterinarians in advanced anesthetic procedures including pre-medication and intubation.
• Perform diagnostic sample collection, imaging, and lab submissions.

Licensed Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

• Credentialed veterinary technician with strong technical skills (to include placing IV catheters, venipuncture, administering premedication, anesthesia induction & monitoring, patient preparation, surgical nursing, and perioperative nursing care, radiographs, etc.)
• You can easily adapt to the different needs of each patient and are able to remain composed during stressful and emotional situations.
• You are looking for a career and are passionate about learning and growing in the industry and caring for animals.
• Assist veterinarians in advanced anesthetic procedures, including pre- medication, intubation, surgical prep, and monitoring.
• Perform diagnostic sample collection, imaging, and lab submissions.

Qualifications

• Certified, Registered, or Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT)
• Emergency specialty experience required
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary environment
