Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health in Short Pump, VA, is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (Dentistry) to join our team. This full-time role features a 3x12 schedule (Mon, Tue, Wed) from 7am to 7pm, with pay starting at $27/hr plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

You will work within a fast-paced clinical setting, performing advanced anesthesia management and surgical nursing to support exceptional patient care. Credentialed technicians (CVT/RVT/LVT) with emergency experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Certified, Registered, or Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) is required.
• Emergency specialty experience is preferred.
• Strong technical and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in advanced anesthetic procedures, including pre-medication, induction, and monitoring.
• Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, and support perioperative nursing.
• Perform diagnostic sample collection, imaging, and lab submissions.
• Provide surgical nursing and patient care throughout perioperative period.

Schedule

• Three- Twelve- hour shifts per week
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7am - 7pm

Licensed Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

• Credentialed veterinary technician with strong technical skills (to include placing IV catheters, venipuncture, administering premedication, anesthesia induction & monitoring, patient preparation, surgical nursing, and perioperative nursing care, radiographs, etc.)
• You can easily adapt to the different needs of each patient and are able to remain composed during stressful and emotional situations.
• You are looking for a career and are passionate about learning and growing in the industry and caring for animals.
• Assist veterinarians in advanced anesthetic procedures, including pre- medication, intubation, surgical prep, and monitoring.
• Perform diagnostic sample collection, imaging, and lab submissions.
