Job summary

Redmond Fall City Animal Hospital is hiring a Part‑Time Licensed Veterinary Technician in Redmond. Shifts are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We offer a $5,000 sign‑on bonus to eligible applicants and Thrive Pet Healthcare partnership access.

You will support veterinarians in outpatient care, surgical assistance, and lab testing, while maintaining patient records and communicating with clients about care options and Thrive Memberships.

Qualifications

  • Current Washington State Veterinary Technician license.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Perform basic nursing skills such as taking vital signs, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication administration.
  • Able to enter medical notes and maintain records (≥45 wpm).
  • Able to lift 40 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and educate clients during outpatient appointments.
  • Assist in maximizing productivity and maintain positive patient flow across hospital functions.
  • Maintain medical charts and comprehensive medical records with practice systems support.
  • Perform anesthesia, dental procedures, radiographs, and nursing care for hospitalized patients as directed by the DVM.

Redmond Fall City Animal Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, is hiring a Part‑Time Licensed Veterinary Technician. Shifts needed: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in providing end‑to‑end care for our precious patients, ranging from outpatient treatments to surgical assistance and laboratory tests.

Role Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients during outpatient appointments.
  • With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Obtain pertinent health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
  • Perform anesthesia and sedation induction and monitoring, dentistry including dental radiographs and charting, obtain diagnostic radiographs, and provide nursing care as instructed by the DVM to hospitalized patients.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, surgical suite, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Prepare patients, medications and equipment for examinations, surgery, dentistry and sedated procedures.
  • Collect and prepare patient lab samples for in‑house and reference lab diagnostic screening.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Current Washington State Veterinary Technician license.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Perform basic nursing skills such as taking vital signs, venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement, medication administration, etc.
  • Able to enter medical notes and maintain medical records; can type 45 wpm minimally.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs unassisted.

  • Positive, kind, and provide trustworthy communication to patients, team members and clients.

Compensation

Hourly pay rate of $31.00‑$37.00, negotiable based on credentials and experience.
