Small Door in Boston is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our GP team. You will triage, monitor patients, assist doctors, and provide compassionate nursing care in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an LVT in a GP setting.
• Weekend availability (Saturday or Sunday).
• Comfortable with computers and online tools.
• Strong ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Triaging
• Recognize medical emergencies and illnesses
• Assessing patients
• Recording vitals and assisting doctors with diagnostics
• Completing treatments as instructed by the doctor
• Basic husbandry and nursing care
• Monitoring changes in patients and providing compassionate care
• Taking blood
• Placing catheters
• Assisting in and facilitating radiography capture
• Preparing samples for outside reference labs
• Running in-house labs
