Job summary

VCA VREC of Westbury in New York is seeking a part-time Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Overnight ER/Critical Care department at our 24-hour emergency hospital.

You will perform anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, radiology, drug dosing, and collaborative care with all hospital services while delivering compassionate care to patients. This role requires a minimum of one year of clinical experience and an active LVT license.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) status required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.

• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands‑free radiology (Associate safety a top priority)

Job Overview

We’re seeking a part‑time Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Emergency and Critical Care department on overnight shifts at our 24‑hour Emergency/Specialty hospital.

Schedule

Part‑time, overnight weekdays, and weekends.

Compensation

• $31–$37 per hour based on skill set and licensure status (LVT).
• $2 overnight differential for 8p–8a every night.
• $4 weekend differential available Friday 8p–Mon 8a.
