Job summary

Shoreline Veterinary Hospital in the Greater Seattle area is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will provide high-level patient care during surgical and dental procedures, monitor anesthesia, and assist with exams, client education, and discharge instructions.

The position is full-time with a flexible schedule, Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays. Benefits include CE allowance, health insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k), and paid time

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting.
  • Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington.
  • Proficiency in anesthesia induction, monitoring, recovery; dental procedures; radiography; client education.

Job description

If you're a skilled, outgoingLicensed Veterinary Technician who enjoys fully utilizing their knowledge and education, Shoreline Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced LVT to join our team!


In this role, you will:



  • Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.

  • Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication.

  • Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.

  • Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.


This is a full-time position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays (Saturday shifts are 9am-1pm).


Full-time benefits and compensation**:



  • Compensation: $30-35 per hour, for each hour worked*

  • CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:



  • 3+ years of veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting

  • Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington

  • Proficiency in the following skills:

    • Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows

    • Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery

    • Assisting in surgery

    • Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography

    • Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation

    • Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately

    • Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital

    • Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
