Job summary

Destination Pet, a full-service veterinary hospital in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to lead clinical care and work to the top of their license. You will perform anesthesia, dentistry, diagnostics, and nursing tasks while mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Texas Licensed Veterinary Technician state license.
• Active clinical leadership with the ability to work to the top of your license.
• Experience in a full-service practice is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work to the top of your license as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset.
• Perform anesthesia and analgesia, dentistry, radiography, in-house lab work and sample collection.
• Lead tech appointments, mentor assistants/externs, and participate in team huddles and training.

We provide top-of-the-line medical, surgical, and dental equipment, as well as an in-house laboratory and ultrasonography.Your Role – Clinical Driver & LeaderAs a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), you will be encouraged to work to the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently.You will primarily utilize your skills in:Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.Growth & ScheduleGrowth Paths: Your career interests guide your path!
