Destination Pet is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for our North Shore Animal Hospital Bayside practice in NY. You will work at the top of your license, lead clinical care, and drive high-quality patient outcomes. A $1,500 signing bonus and a transparent pay structure accompany strong growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, monitoring.
• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, periodontal therapy.
• Diagnostics: Radiography, in-house lab analysis, sample collection.
• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, wound care, catheter/feeding tube management.
• Workflow Leadership: Lead tech appointments, team huddles, mentoring assistants/externs.
• Growth & Schedule Growth Paths: Career ladder guided by interests; precepting and leadership training.

Wage Range: $28.00 - $34.00 /hr.

Our state-of-the-art facility features three dedicated DVMs and an experienced support team committed to the highest standards of care. We are dedicated to staying current with the latest advancements in diagnostics, medical treatments, surgical procedures, and preventative wellness. We provide top-of-the-line medical, surgical, and dental equipment, as well as an in-house laboratory and ultrasonography.

Your Role - Clinical Driver & Leader

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), you will be encouraged to work at the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently. You will primarily utilize your skills in:

• Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
• Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
• Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
• Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
• Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
• Growth & Schedule Growth Paths: Your career interests guide your path! Perks include paid precepting, skill checkoffs tied to ladder milestones, and leadership training. We build you a ladder, not a ceiling. Schedule: Full-time with flexible scheduling options (choose 4 ten-hour or 5 eight-hour shifts) and a predictable weekend rotation. Tools: Modern equipment including digital DR, dental radiography, in-house lab, infusion pumps, and multi-parameter monitors.
