Story Road Animal Hospital in Irving, TX, part of Destination Pet, LLC, seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to work at the top of their license and lead patient care with a strong focus on anesthesia, dentistry, and diagnostics. You will join a compassionate team dedicated to high standards of care and client education.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Texas LVT license.
• Credentialed technicians as clinical drivers of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Work at the top of your license and act as a clinical leader.
• Provide anesthesia and analgesia with multimodal pain management.
• Perform dentistry including full-mouth radiography and charting.
• Conduct diagnostic workups with in-house labs and radiography.
• Lead nursing, triage, and care coordination for patients.
• Mentor assistants and externs; participate in schedule leadership.

We provide top-of-the-line medical, surgical, and dental equipment, as well as in house ultrasound.Your Role – Clinical Driver & LeaderAs a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), you will be encouraged to work at the top of your license and serve as a clinical leader, ensuring medical excellence with a patient-first mindset. We follow AAHA utilization guidance consistently.You will primarily utilize your skills in:Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.Growth & ScheduleGrowth Paths: Your career interests guide your path!
