Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Michigan to join a dynamic emergency team. You will assist veterinarians during exams and procedures, monitor anesthesia, and handle in‑house diagnostics.

Strong client communication, record keeping in EzyVet, and adherence to safety protocols are essential. This on‑site role offers overnight shifts with a $3 differential for 11pm–7am hours, plus comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development opportunities

Qualifications

  • Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Michigan or eligible for license transfer.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) required; multilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
  • Provide anesthesia support and monitor patients.
  • Handle in‑house diagnostics and lab work.
  • Record histories and update medical records in EzyVet.
  • Educate clients on condition, treatment plan, and estimates.
  • Maintain hospital cleanliness and safety protocols.
  • Support inventory and participate in team projects.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Byron Center, MI

Schedule & Compensation
  • Overnight availability required for full‑time positions
  • Rotating weekends and 3/6 holidays required
  • $21-30 per hour, based on experience and skillset
  • $3 shift differential for hours worked between 11 pm–7 am
  • Shift bid every 6 months for full‑time roles

Position Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians during exams, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Strong technical skills; IVC placement, administering medications, and monitoring hospitalized patients
  • Perform and monitor anesthesia (ECG, SpO₂, EtCO₂, NIBP)
  • Provide surgical support and post‑op care
  • Handle and prepare lab samples; operate in‑house diagnostics
  • Accurately record histories and update medical records in the PIMS system (EzyVet)
  • Maintain accurate and detailed communication logs, handle department voicemail, client callbacks, and documentation
  • Educate and communicate with clients regarding their pet’s condition, treatment plans, review of estimates, and follow‑up care
  • Maintain hospital cleanliness, follow safety protocols, support inventory
  • Ability to learn advanced skills and use them to the fullest
  • Ability to participate in clinical trials and be a part of improving medicine for pet health for the future
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership
