Job summary

Jiffy Lube / Premium Velocity Auto (PVA) seeks a Licensed State Motor Vehicle Inspector / Lube Technician to ensure vehicles meet DMV standards and provide customers confidence in safety. You will perform inspections, communicate results, and deliver preventive maintenance services.

Responsibilities include multi-point inspections, accurate documentation, and advising the service team on corrective actions while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have state vehicle inspector licensure or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to perform physical duties (standing, lifting 50+ lbs).
• Willingness to train and adapt in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections to ensure emissions and state compliance.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate pass/fail results and advise service team on needs.
• Inspect for wear, damage, and faulty components.
• Evaluate mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and air lines.
• Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, fluids, lights, brakes, tires).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
