Jiffy Lube / Premium Velocity Auto (PVA) in Texas is seeking a Licensed State Motor Vehicle Inspector / Lube Technician to ensure vehicles meet DMV standards and to provide customers with confidence in their vehicle's safety.

This role performs inspections, communicates results, and delivers preventative maintenance services while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Requires valid inspection license, driver's license, and ability to work in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• Valid State Vehicle Inspector License.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform physical job duties (standing for long periods, lifting 50+ lbs).
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Basic automotive repair knowledge.
• Commitment to safety procedures and standards.
• Growth-minded with willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with emissions standards and state regulations.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate pass/fail results, recommend corrective actions, and advise service team on additional needs.
• Inspect for wear, damage, faulty components, illegal equipment, and alignment issues.
• Evaluate key mechanical systems, accessories, electrical circuits, and air lines.
• Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, fluid top-offs, lights/wipers/brakes/tire services).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
