Premium Velocity Auto / Jiffy Lube (PVA) in Houston, TX is seeking a Licensed State Motor Vehicle Inspector / Lube Technician to perform state-regulated inspections and preventative maintenance. You’ll help ensure vehicle safety, compliance, and customer confidence.

This role requires a state inspector license, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in conditions including enclosed or semi-outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Licensed State Motor Vehicle Inspector License required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform physical duties (standing, lifting 50+ lbs).
• Comfortable working in enclosed and semi-outdoor environments.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform state-mandated vehicle inspections and multi-point safety checks.
• Explain pass/fail outcomes and required corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection documentation and records.
• Communicate results clearly to customers.
• Inspect for wear, damage, or illegal equipment.
• Evaluate mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance services (fluid top-offs, light, brake, and tire).
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.
