Jiffy Lube / Premium Velocity Auto (PVA) in Cary, NC is hiring a Licensed State Motor Vehicle Inspector / Lube Technician to ensure vehicles meet DMV standards and provide customers with confidence in safety.

The role performs inspections, communicates results, and delivers preventative maintenance services, including oil changes and brake/tire services. Candidates must hold a valid State Vehicle Inspector License and a valid driver's license, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid State Vehicle Inspector License.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform all physical job duties (standing, lifting 50+ lbs, bending, crawling).
• Comfortable to work in enclosed or semi-outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with emissions standards and state regulations.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate pass/fail results and advise service team on corrective actions.
• Inspect for wear, damage, faulty components, illegal equipment, and alignment issues.
• Evaluate mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and air lines.
• Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, fluid top-offs, brakes, tires).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
