Job summary

HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2026–2027 school year. This school-based role supports a geographic cluster of schools with IEP-based vision services. Braille proficiency is a priority, and candidates may work full-time or part-time (W2).

The position offers $50–$55/hour, about 7.5 hours per day (≈35 hours/week), with responsibilities including screenings, evaluations, IEP participation, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current license to teach in Maryland.
• Braille proficiency strongly preferred.
• Experience working with culturally diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with School staff and families regarding students’ educational deficits.
• Conduct initial screenings and comprehensive evaluations; participate in IEP planning and goal setting.
• Provide Special Education sessions using current best practices per IEP.
• Maintain district documentation including notes, summaries, and annual IEPs.
