Job summary

New Paths, Inc. in Flint, MI seeks a Licensed Master’s Therapist (MSW or LPC) to provide counseling and a range of therapeutic services to individuals served.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences, Human Services or equivalent for substance use disorder and chemical dependence counseling.
• Registered Development Plan with MCBAP, CADC, CAADC (for substance use disorder).
• Maintain licensing and/or certification to meet contractual and State requirements.
• One year of work-related experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with Michigan Department of Corrections preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides counseling and therapeutic services to persons served.
• Assesses substance use/mental health status and initiates treatment planning.
• Completes intake assessments and develops treatment plans.
• Maintains documentation according to Standard Practices and timelines.
• Coordinates referrals and collaborates with other professionals.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to ethical standards.
