Job summary

City of Colorado Springs seeks a Licensed Surveyor in Public Works, Engineering Development Review, to provide professional land surveying expertise focused on development review, annexations, and capital improvement program support. You will review plats, prepare legal descriptions, establish survey control, and oversee survey records, while representing the City in meetings with developers, consultants, and agencies.

A Colorado PLS license and five years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Five years of professional surveying experience.
• Colorado Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review subdivision plats, annexation plats, replats, vacations, easements, and legal descriptions to ensure compliance with City codes and standards.
• Manage development review applications through electronic review systems; coordinate comments with agencies and project managers.
• Prepare annexation plats, legal descriptions, easement documents, and other survey deliverables for City projects.
