Job summary

GPLA Structural Engineers and Builders is seeking a licensed Structural Project Manager in Austin, TX. This role focuses on developing drawings, specifications, and calculations across all design phases, under close supervision.

You will help design structural systems for diverse buildings and create accurate 2D and 3D models with Tekla Structures, coordinating with engineers, modelers, detailers and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a structural focus is required.
• 4+ years of experience in structural engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; NCEES record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of drawings, specifications, and calculations from design to construction documents under supervision.
• Develop structural designs and analytical models for various building types and materials.
• Support construction administration by reviewing submittals and RFIs and participating in site visits.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures and other CAD tools.
• Participate in coordination meetings to communicate progress and resolve design issues.
• Engage in professional development and process improvements.
