Job summary

Morgan Construction Management is seeking a Licensed Structural Engineer for our Philadelphia-based client team. The ideal candidate holds an ABET-accredited degree and a Pennsylvania PE license, with 10+ years in structural engineering for schools, commercial, and institutional facilities.

Responsibilities include evaluating structural systems, coordinating with disciplines, and supporting projects from design through construction while engaging with city permitting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of ten years of structural engineering experience in schools, commercial buildings, and institutional facilities.
• Experience with building permits in City of Philadelphia.
• Strong communication and ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Generate and advertise RFPs for the selection of 3rd party design firms.
• Review and approval proposals from 3rd party design firms.
• Manage contracts and approve invoices of design firms.
• Develop scope determination reports for Capital Improvement Projects by assessing structural systems and existing building conditions.
• Technical review and approval of design development plans and construction documents.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure constructability of building systems.
