Job summary

Jones Networking is seeking a Structural Engineer (PE) with commercial construction experience to join a growing firm. You will analyze, design, and detail structures, review plans, coordinate with architects and contractors, and ensure code compliance.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering, and several years of relevant experience. This role offers a heavy hybrid schedule with 1–2 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Several years of structural engineering experience with a focus on commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of building codes and construction practices.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients, contractors, architects, and other project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for commercial construction projects.
• Develop structural plans, details, calculations, and specifications.
• Review architectural plans and coordinate structural requirements with project teams.
• Evaluate existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs, modifications, and improvements.
• Work directly with architects, contractors, and clients to resolve structural and construction-related issues.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as needed.
• Review projects for compliance with applicable building codes and engineering standards.
• Prepare engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and other project documentation.
• Provide technical support throughout the design and construction process.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, schedules, and client expectations.
• Communicate technical information clearly to both engineering and non-engineering professionals.
